The Law Societies of England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland run a joint office in Brussels that publishes an update five or six times a year on current issues relating to criminal law reform and judicial co-operation in criminal matters. The reports review implemented legislation (such as the European arrest warrant), legislation to be implemented (such as the mutual recognition and enforcement of financial penalties), and legislation under consideration (such as the mandatory transfer of prisoners). These updates will now appear on this site with kind permission from the Brussels office.
