“Police Release Me: Crooks let off after system meltdown. Dozens of criminals may escape justice after Scotland’s new police computer went into meltdown. The ?4 million system should be manned by 12 staff but only two were on duty for its first weekend. The overloaded system collapsed and scores of crimes were not logged.
