Note: At an election hustings in April, organised by the Glasgow Bar Association, Kenny MacAskill commented that ways should be found to ‘put a block on’ the sentencing provisions of the Custodial Sentences and Weapons legislation. He also accepted the need for scrutiny or review of legal aid.  We shall see. MM.
